Polly - Lykkehuset's Always A Showstopper |
Polly in Australien It was a busy but rewarding weekend for Polly in Australia. The Cootamundra All Breeds Kennel Club hosted a 3 show and Polly was there all 3 days. Friday May 11th Mrs S. Patterson was judging and she awarded Polly the CC and made her BOS. Saturday Polly took the CC again and was BOB under Mrs D. Fenton. Sunday she took her third CC in a row and was BOS under Mrs J. Dickinson-Franks. Congratulations to Marie and Polly. What a weekend!
Logan in Australien Logan, our other girl down under, had also found her way too the show ring this weekend. Saturday she was at a show in Munduberra judged by Mrs D. Jovanovic. Logan was BOB and Best in Group at this her only third show ever. Very well done!
Ingolf in Denmark Sunday may 13th the Danish PC hosted a show in Nr Aaby. Sif and Carla both won their classes but after that they got inferior placings. Our baby Ingolf (Lykkhuset's Inglourious Basterd) saved the day by charming the socks of everyone including swedish judge Henrik Johansson who made him BOB baby and BIS Baby. You will all be seeing more of Ingolf. |

May 5th 2012 - Australia
After settling in nicely in her new home in Australia it was time for Logan (Lykkehuset's Culture Vulture) to go to her first show ever. The little Princess made her debut at the Capricorn Coast Kennel Club's show. Logan had a lot of fun at the show; she was happy as alwas and very confident and there was no doubt that ske liked showing herself off. The jugde Mr G. Vernon also liked Logan - so much so infact that she was best of breed on her first show. Way to go Logan!
May 6th 2012 - Australia This day at the Rockhampton Kennel Club Show Logan was detemined to have more fun. Mrs M. Pattern was entrusted with judging the toy poodles and she was well impressed with Logan and made her best of breed for the second time in two days. Logan has now collected her first point towards her australian title. Congratulations to Deb and Logan. We are so happy for you.
May 6th 2012 - England Logan was not the only Lykkehuset poodle to make an appearance in the show ring this day. Peddersen (Lykkehuset's Cranky Wife Of Windsor) was strutting her stuff in England at the Eastern Counties Poodle Club Show in Ely. Judging this event was Mr R. Hannah. Peddersen is still in the puppy class which she won and she was best female puppy in show. Well done Peddersen and Mike! |

Marts 25th 2012
The time had come for Peddesen to make her debut on the British show scene. She and 57 other toy poodles were entered at the International Poodle Club show on Sunday 25th March. Judging the event was Helen Lunnun-Turner of Arrowflight Miniatures. Peddersen was in the puppy class and to the astonishment of several present she did not win. She was runner-up to a well known handler/judge. But she did make a most convincing appearance and she qualified for Crufts. Mike was well pleased Peddersen's performance. BOB of the show was Vanitonia You'll See. We think you'll be seeing a lot more from Peddersen and Mike in the future. Congratulations - Well done!

Carla - Lykkehuset's Trop Belle Pour Toi

This weekend's first piece of good news came all the way from Australia; at the Crookwell A.P.& H. Society All Breeds Championship Show Polly was Best of Breed - yet again - and she collected further valuable points to her Australian title. The judge of the day was G. Dryburgh of New South Wales. Congratulation to Marea and Polly.
 Polly - Lykkehuset's Always A Showstopper
The next day it was our turn; Sif and Carla was entered in the Danish Kennel Club's first International show in 2012 held in Fredericia. The toypoodles had come in great numbers and Carla was to meet some stiff competition. Under the scrutinizing eyes of Irish Judge Michael Leonard she won the open class but was beaten in the competition for best female. Sif's day in the ring on the other hand was a triumph. It was the first time she was entered in the open class but in her usual style she knocked out all competiton and was Best of Breed. She was awarded her 3rd CC and her very first CACIB. U go girl! Her breeders in Poland - the Glowka family - did an excellent job breeding and raising her and have every reason to be proud. |

January 14th 2012
Our first international show in the new year took place in Nuremberg, Germany. After a pretty long road trip accompanied by good friends we arrived to the hotel tired but full of anticipation. It did not take Sif (Holly Raciborski Puch) & Carla (Lykkehuset's Trop Belle Pour Toi) long to feel at home at the hotel. Early Saturday morning they were ready to enter the showring. Sif was first up to be judged by local Angelika Rudolph. In spite of this being only her 4th show ever Sif showed herself beautifully. She was BOB for the 3rd time and she is still only a junior. Carla's junior days ended only 6 days earlier but she handled the transition from junior to open class very well. She was BOS and she was awarded her first CACIB. Late in the afternoon Sif had to show herself off once more to defend her breed in the honour ring for the group competition. Even though she was not shortlisted she handled herself most gracefully. |

January 8th 2012 Polly has done it again! At the Wollondilly All Breeds Kennel Club Show in Tahmoor NSW Polly was once more Best of Breed. With 15 toy poodles entered the show was not without competition but for judge Mrs Duffy there was no doubt; Polly was the best. In fact Mrs Duffy started to applaud when Polly was halfway around the ring. With the win Polly picked up quite a lot of valuable points for her Australian title. Well done! |

December 4th 2011 Only 10 short days after leaving the quarantine station Polly was ready for her first show on Australian soil. The ACT Ladies Kennel Club all breed Championship show in Canberra was the venue for the memorable event. The judge was Mrs M. Sy from the Phillipines. Polly behaved liked a seasoned pro in the ring and she was Best of Breed. She has now started collecting points for her Australian title. The judge was not the only one impressed with her; after seeing Polly being groomed a couple of other exhibitors decided not to enter their poodles. Instead they enjoyed the show as spectators.
Congratulations Marea & Polly! We are so proud of you.

 Sif - Holly Raciborski Puch
|
November 27th 2011
On this stormy first Sunday of Christmas Sif and Carla showed up for the Danish Poodle Club's annual Christmas show. Jugde of the day was Melanie Harwood of Minarets Miniatures UK. Sif was first up and she performed beautifully and she was Best Of Breed leaving the lesser rankings for adults and champions. She now has a perfect statistic; 2 CC's and 2 x BOB from junior. Later she had to make 2 appearances in the honour ring; first to compete for BIS Junior where she was 3rd. Later was up for BIS where she took a 5th place which considering the fact that she is still a junior is excellent. The class with the most entries was the females' junior class in the toy poodles. So still being a junior Carla was facing pretty stiff competion and lots of it. She came in 3rd and all things considered that is a satisfactory result.

November 13th 2011 We have just been informed that Mindie aka Lykkehuset's Big Fat Show-Off have been awarded with her first Norwegian CC at a show hosted by the Kongsberg Canine Society. The judge was Belgian Liliane de Ridder-Onghena. Mindie was runner-up best bitch beaten only by a champion. We are proud of Mindie, who has now taken her first step towards her Norwegian Champion title. Well done Kim and Mindie. Congratulations! |

October 16th 2011 On this beautiful Autumn day Sif entered a show ring for the first time in her life. Driving to the show in first daylight we were able to enjoy the sight of the forrests taking on the same colours as Sif. Maybe it was some sort of sign... Not yet 11 months old Sif is still developing but she still managed to draw attention to herself. The jugde of the day was Marie Petersen and she liked Sif well - so well that she awarded her with her first CC and found her worthy to be Best of Breed. A splendid debut for this lovely girl. Carla was also at the show. The competition in the toy poodle junior class was tough and Carla came in 3rd. |

Lykkehuset's Trop Belle Pour Toi - BOB
|
September 24th & 25th 2011 After a very long drive Fergie (Lykkehuset's Desperate Housewife) and Carla (Lykkehuset's Trop Belle Pour Toi) arrived in Austria in the most glorious weather. The town of Tulln on the beautiful blue Danube hosted the Austrian Winner Show 2011 organized by the Austrian Kennel Club, ÖKV. At the same venue the PC of Austria held their annual Club Winner Show.
Mr Siegfried Peter of Germany was judging the club show on Saturday. Carla was best junior female and can now call herself ÖCP Club Winner 2011. Fergie, who for some time now has not set her paws in a show ring and for the past 3 months has been a loving mother to her 2 girls, had no trouble finding her past form and she was Best of Breed, Best Female in Show and overall BIS #3. She is now ÖCP Winner 2011. Saturday night the PC hosted a dinner party at their impressive club house in Stetten. It was a very nice evening with plenty of examples of the hospitality for which the Austrians are so famous. Carla and Fergie enjoyed the evening too. We will be back some day.
Sunday it was time for the ÖKV Austrian Winner Show. The judge was Mr Stefan Sinko of Slovenia, whith whom we had no previous experiences. He proved to be a very knowledgeable and efficent jugde. Fergie won the champion class and qualified for Crufts- again. She was also presented with her 14th Cacib for which she has no use much to the relief of the runner-up. Carla was again best juniorthus also qualifying for Crufts. In the final competition she surprised everyone by winning Best of Breed. It is her second BOB at an international show from junior class! She is Austrian Junior Winner 2011. When a junior wins BOB the Austrian Winner title passes to the dog presented with the Cacib - so Fergie took that title. Carla's day was far from over. She had to enter the Ring of Honour twice; first to compete for best junior of FCI group IX. She was shortlisted with 5 other juniors but that was as far as she got. In the competion for BOB group IX she was completely overlooked. But she was the only poodle to be shorlisted at all in the Ring of Honour.

August 20th and 20st 2011 For the first time ever the VDH's national and international shows in Leipzig had entries from kennel Lykkehuset. Saxo, Trille and young Carla took a trip to a surprisingly warm and sunny Leipzig. The international show on Saturday was judged by Mr. Wolfgang Schneider. Trille was not quite at her usual happy self - she seemed bothered by the heat and her season is just beginning. Saxo was a bit beside himself too - possibly due to the heat and Trille's oncoming season. Carla on the other hand was on top of her game. She was a convincing winner of the junior class on took her first title ever: Leipzig Junior Winner 2011. The judging at the national show on Sunday was in Mr. Siegfried Peter's capable hands. Trille was still not at her best but Saxo had gotten used the heat (both kinds) and he showed well and got his CC. Carla showed like a pro and won the junior class again. They both had to compete for best of breed. We were told that Mr. Peter never picks a junior for BOB. Carla is now the exception to that rule because he picked her over the champions and her father Saxo and and made her Best of Breed at her 3rd show ever. Well done for an 11 months old girl! At the final competitions Group 9 was judges bu Mr. Roberto Schill of Romania. During the preliminary judging he seemed quite taken with Carla but he let on that she was too young. Luckily Danish poodle breeding was also represented by Birthe and Leif Warming's stunning miniature male Warming Black Crackers was runner up. Congratulations!

 Lykkehuset's Big Fat Show-Off
|
June 5th 2011 At the Norwegian Poodle Club's main show of the year Lykkehuset's Big Fat Show-Off aka Mindie had her debut. This show hosts a special show for puppies. At the tender age of 6 months and 2 days Mindie was one of the youngest puppies but she fully lived up to her name. Together with her owner Kim Gjødalstuen she made a glorious entré unto the show world; BOB Puppy Toy and BIS #2 Puppy. Mr Edgar Nilsen was judging the event.
Congratulation to Kim and Mindie. Well done - and on Denmark's national day - Constitution Day - of all days. We are so proud of you both. |

April 2nd 2011 On this fine morning Carla was off to her show debut in Tonder near the border to Germany. Even though it was a rather crowded venue she did not flinch. German jugde Martha Heine was very pleased with her and she was Best Puppy. Carla had great day and she managed to turn a few heads. She will be back for more.

First snow |
|
|

|
November 27th 2010 This morning the kennel woke up to a snow covered garden. Especially for the youngest - Carla & Oscar - this was a new experience. If you have never seen snow before the world is suddenly a very strange place. Carla who is only 2½ months old was not quite aware that the laws of gravity applies to her too. This meant that she disappeared several times.

September 5th 2010 It is now 7 in the morning. Another day another show. If there is Wifi at the site there will an update later if not the update will have to wait.
....and there was no WiFi in the Rischmühle Arena. Some 140 poodles and their proud owners had found their way to VDP's Winner Show in Merseburg. Oscar, Saxo and Fergie were in great shape and did well for themselves in the ring. As it is custom on German shows all decisions about final placings are made in the honour ring. First up was Saxo and Fergie in the Brace class which they won over 3 other brace couples. Then Oscar entered the honour ring with his usual confidence. His behaviour in the ring was well beyond is age and as judge Andrea Ernst selected him for BIS baby she made a comment on his experience in the ring. Well done Oscar! Saxo was up for the best toy male ompetition. He did not win but because he had already won his class he could claim a VDH CC and VDP CC plus the title Saxony Anhalt Winner 2010. Fergie was Best of Breed and the titles of Saxony Anhalt Winner 2010 and VDP Winner 2010 was added to her rather impressive list. It was a pretty long road trip - 2000 km but the dogs took home 5 titles and 3 BIS placings. Not bad, eh?

September 4th 2010 09.15 Hrs. We are now installed at the ringside and the first of what will possibly turn out to be many cups of coffee is beginning to kick in. The lighting in these halls are always a very sparse in the morning but to everyones relief the 'good'light has just been turned on. This morning has already had its small measure of trouble; it seems that the wheels on our new grooming table have been rather carelessly attached. However Sax, Fergie and Oscar are all in high spirit and looking very much forward to what this day will bring. 12.20 hrs. The judge of the day is Czech Olga Dolejsova and her face lights up in a big smile as little Oscar enters the ring. Oscar is best baby and he is now waiting for the final competition for best baby of all breeds. Quite a debut for young poodle of 22 weeks of age. 12.23 Saxo struts his stuf in the ring and is quickly best male with junior CC. He now needs to go to the office to claim the diploma for his first title: Luxembourg Junior Champion. After that he has to compete for the title of best junir male of the day. 13.30 hrs. It is now Fergie's turn to make an entrance. If she wins the Champion class she will be Luxembourg Champion....and she wins! Another title to add to her resume. A delicate little silver girl beats her in the run for the CACIB, but that's fine Fergie has no use for more CACIB's.

Fergie 'new' Czech Champion |

|
July 16th 2010 It has been more than 18 months since Fergie was in the Czech Republic for a double show in the city of Brno. She was BOB both days and brought home 2 CAC's and 2 CACIB's. According to the regulations of the Czech title as read on the website of the Czech Kennel Club a dog must have 4 CAC's in 2 different show seasons. Fergie was going to go to at least 2 more Czech shows to claim the title. A fellow breeder was kind enough to inform me that there are other rules for dogs who are already national champions. The Czech Kennel Club confirmed this and as it turnes out Fergie is now Czech Champion and she has been for the past 18 months. So this is really old news. |

June 23rd - 27th 2010 In the days prior to the World Dog Show in Herning friends from near and far came to stay with us. It was very nice to be reunited with two and four legged friends. We enjoyed having you all here! 4 poodles had to groomed for the World Dog Show. Luckily the weather was at its best behaviour and we set up our show tent in the garden and turned it into a poodle salon. It turned out to be an ideal solution because neither dogs nor groomers overheated. Everybody seemed eager to watch how other people groom their poodles so it turned into a marathon grooming show.
The patio was our favourite place to hang out. There was no end to the funny stories being told.
Angelika is teaching us all the proper way to enjoy Thüringer Bratwurst. Delicious!

A Stormy Day in Schleswig |
|
|

|
May 16th 2010 The windy weather did not dampen the friendly atmosphere that is charactheristic for German Shows in general and the Show in Eggebek in particular. It is always a pleasure to attend this show and judging by the number of entries this sentiment is widely shared. No fewer than 89 poodles 19 of which were toy had found their way to Eggebek where Stefan Wächter had bed trusted with the difficult job of finding the most beautiful specimens amongst them. Saxo won the junior class and felt quite at home. Perhaps he remembers that he was in Eggebek last year as a 3 months old puppy. Trille was also in Eggebek last year when she was BOB. This year she did it again; BOB twice in a row at the same show!! Saxo and Trille had been in brace class boot camp before today's show and their hard work was rewarded with a nice trophee for being best brace class in show. We will be back next year by which time we hope that the wind has subsided..

Spring in Opole, Poland |
|
|

|
Group IX Special, April 24th 2010 On this most glorious Spring day in Opole 'My' made her comeback to the showring in her new 'show-do'. She was best champion and took another Polish CC. But once more all other girls international champions included had to take a backseat to 'Trille'. She was BOS to a very handsome Finnish boy; he and Trille are both Polish Club Winners 2010. Trille took her CC and she is ready to be gorgeous again tomorrow at the international show in Opole. The Judge was Laurent Heinesche of Luxembourg.
Opole International, April 25th 2010 Trille was ready and gorgeous today - so ready and so gorgeous that she was Best of Breed! This weekend earned her 2 Polish CC's and her first CACIB. The judge who found her irresistable was Jean-Francois Vanaken of Belgium. Trille is really starting to fulfill the promise she has shown all along. It was not quite My's day - she took second place in the Champion class. This was my second visit to the show in Opole and just as last time it was very well organized and had a lovely atmosphere. I will be back. |

December 13th 2009
This year Fergie celebrates her 3rd birthday in a showring in the Belgium's beautiful capital Bruxelles. At this very moment Mr Jean-Francois Vanaken has just begun judging standard poodles. Later today we will learn what he thinks of Fergie. Last night her birthday was celebrated in style at a posh restaurant where Firgie felt right at home; her paws were on the table waiting for her lambchops. She really feels at home here in Bruxelles where dogs are not only welcome in restuarants and shops but they are received with smiles and much kindness.
...Later Fergie has just finished in the showring. She came second after a distant cousin that she beat a few short weeks ago. C'est la vie as they say around these parts. The winner will be granted the title of Belgian Winner '09 but Fergie gets an official title too: Bruxelles Winner '09. She likes that. |

Double Show in Kassel, Germany |
|
|

|
December 5th 2009 The national show on Saturday was judged by local Georg Walter. Quite a few Toy poodles had made their way to Kassel on this day. But the fierce competetion was no match for Fergie; she took the CC to claim her 5th champion title this year and only a few short weeks after the took her final CACIB for the title of International Champion. As of today she is also German Champion VDH. Mr Walther could find no Toy Poodle to match her and made her Best Of Breed.
December 6th 2009 Fergie did it again: BOB and BIG #3!! Angelika Rudolph was the judge who on this day could not find any Toy poodle more beautiful than Fergie. The CACIB also come Fergie's way and she now has 11. That is very well done for a somewhat spoiled little girl from Grumstrup. But there is more great news: any day now Alfie will be the proud father of 5 babies somewhere in Germany.

Just Around The Corner |
|
|

|
November 29th 2009 For once the poodles from kennel Lykkehuset did not have to travel long distances to go to a Show. The Danish Poodle Club hosted a show in Lund wich is just around the corner from kennel Lykkehuset. It was however a special day because 2 rather young poodles were to set their paws in a show ring for the very first time. The judge was Joachim Weinberg of Germany. He found our newcomer Venus was both gorgeous and charming and she was Best Dwarf Baby. But the most important thing was that she seemed to enjoy herself at the show. The same can said for the other debutante Saxo in puppy class. Both of them showed great promise and there will be many more shows for both of them in the time to come. Trille performed beautifully as ever. All in all it was a very nice day although a not entirely unexpected display of unsportsmanlike conduct by an experienced handler cast a rather ugly shadow over the event. But next weekend there will be another show and everything will (almost) be forgotten.

Eurocup Winner 2009 & International Champion |
|
|

|
November 14th 2009 It was Fergie's day today at the Eurocup show in belgian Kortrijk; she was BOS with CC and CACIB. She can now call herself Eurocup Winner '09 but more importantly the CACIB was what she needed to claim the title of INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION. Since September 20th 2008 she has collected; 2 CACIB's in Denmark 2 CACIB's in Czech Republic 2 CACIB's in Austria 1 CABIB in Germany 1 CACIB in Sweden 1 CACIB in Norway 1 CACIB in Belgium. Czech Nada Klirova judged all varieties of poodles and after the show she said that of all the sizes the comeption in the Toy poodles was the fiercest. All the more reason for Fergie to be proud. However Nada Klirova did find a poodle among the the males who to her had a slight advantage over Fergie: that was the the local boy Gadget des Supers Supers owned and bred by Jean-Francois Vanaken - so he was BOB. And he is a very smart boy indeed!

He has now left Denmark and is settling in and making new friends in Finland. We look forward to follow his life an carreer in Finland and we are confident that he will get the love and attention he needs from Sanna and Katriina.

August 21st 2009
This year the Austrian Kennel Club (ÖKV) celebrates its centennial Jubilee and to mark the occasion three international shows have been arranged. Trille and Fergie have made the trip from Denmark in order to participate in the festivities. And the very first day turns out very festive indeed! Trille is Best Junior and receives an Austrian Junior CC to prove it. For the 7th time in her carreer Fergie is Best Of Breed and takes her 8th CACIB. These honours were bestowed upon Trille and Fergie by Austrian judge Heidi Kirschbichler. Now Fergie has regained the right to gloat over Trille who has won over her at the past 2 shows. Trille aka Lykkehuset's Soprano Supreme: Best Junior with Junior CC Fergie aka Lykkehuset's Desperate Housewife: BOB with CC and CACIB August 22nd 2009 The Next Day.. On this day's show the right to call oneself 'Middle east European Winner' was at stake, and from that particular part of the world both the judge and many beautifull poodles had come to Austria. The very experiensed Mrs Libuse Ubrova had come from the Czech Republic to sit in judgement over the poodles. Neither Trille nor Fergie quite had what it took to please Mrs Ubrova's eye and her critiques did not reveal what faults and flaws she saw in Trille and Fergie. In fact Fergie's critique only read: "Nicely handled".......... August 23rd2009 The Last Day. This was the day of the Austrian Kennel Club's Centennial Jubilee, so the titles Centennial Winner & Centennial Junior Winner were up for grabs. Dutch Hans van der Berg was in his ever charming fashion the judge of all the poodles. Best bitch was a cracker of an International Champion and Fergie was runner up with the reserve CACIB, but since the winner was already a confirmed International Champion the reserve CACIB will be Fergie's 9th CACIB. Trille was best junior with junior CC and she is now ÖKV Centennial Junior Winner. Let's just say that she has taken back the right to gloat from Fergie! This was also the day when the a Danish Poodle was Austrian Junior Champion - for the first time ever! A wonderful dwarf girl called Phyrus Black O'Number Two Laura, or Laura among friends, took the title accompanied by her owner Charlotte Linneberg. Congratulations to both of you! |

A Beautuful day in Eggebek |
|
|

|
July 12th 2009 On the day in her one year Birthday Trille was once more ready for show. This time just south of the border in Eggebek where the local Schleswig-Flensburg branch of the German poodle club VDP were hosting a very well organized show with Dr Axel Rudolph as judge. It is unknown if it was in honour of Trille's Birthday or to welcome the many Danish poodles and their owners but the Dannebrog (the Danish flag) was gently swaying side by side with the flag of Schleswig-Holstein. In any case it was a very nice gesture indeed! With the exception of one shower during the final competitions it was a beautiful and sunny day.
Trille was accompanied by her aunt Fergie and a very young puppy, who appears to looking forward to be old enough to participate in the fun in the show ring. He will later be known to the world as Saxo aka Canmoy's Mr Men Show.

In many respects it was Trilles day. Once more she was Best of Breed and gained her 3rd and final junior CC for the title of German Junior Champion VDH. Fergie was beaten by her niece - again! She did however manage to get her 4th CC so now she only needs one more. Trille finished the day with a respectable 3rd place in the competition for Best in Show. It was successful day for Danish poodles; 4 out of 8 BOB poodles were Danish bred or owned, as were 2 out of 8 BOS poodles, and 3 out Best in Show 1-4 were also Danish.

Trille BOB and BIS in Hamburg |
|
|

|
June 21st 2009 This Sunday the German Poodle Club DPK hosted an outdoor show at their wonderful training ground in Hamburg. 3 girls from this house had shown up to find mercy under the competent eye of judge Lene Jakobsen. For the first time ever Diva had to leave a show in Germany without a CC but she wasn't too upset about that because her daughter Trille won the the day! First trille won Best of Breed over her auntie Fergie plus a line-up of other beautiful toy poodles. Later, after a somewhat perculiar execution of the final competitions, Trille won BEST IN SHOW. Well done for a girl of 11 months. She also participated in the Breeder's Couple class with Fergie and in the Beeder's Group with Fergie and mama Diva. Both classes were best of the day - they were also the only ones. But who cares when you win a fabulous gold medal presented by the German Kennel Club, VDH? Trilles brother Chili was also Best of Breed - God only knows how many times he has done that! Their dad Alfie must be pretty proud of his kids!

Good News From Sweden |

June 14th 2009 This weekend the Swedish Kennel Club hosted a National Show in Avesta. The show took place at an outdoor venue - in pouring rain! Despite the appalling conditions Ivan and Jannike had a fantastic day. Ivan was unfazed by the rain and moved like a dream - as allways! Neither his attitude nor his thick coat were flattened by 'a few drops of' water. Ivan was best male and BOS and was awarded his very first CC. The show was judged by Zoran Brankovic of Serbia.
CONGRATULATIONS JANNIKE & IVAN WELL DONE! |

May 10th 2009 The sun was shining on southern Norway and the fair city of Kristiansand in particular as venue for an International Show organized by the Norwegian Kennel Club. It was in this setting Fergie made her entrance. Veni Vidi Vici - She came She saw (or rather was seen) She conquered. Along with her 5th consecutive BOB she was awarded her 6th CACIB. This honour came with a Norwegian CC and that was just what she needed! Fergie is now Norwegian and Nordic Champion. It was Swedish judge Karin Bergbom whe with this CC helped Fergies star to rise even higher over the High North.
Fergie was very happy with the way the day turned out; at the end of the day she had claimed 2 new titles but more importantly she gained a new friend. Noah is a very smart little Bichon Frisé boy and he and Fergie seemed to get along just fine. By the way; that is not him on the photo. |

May 2nd 2009 From birth Trille had lots of personality and with every day she seems to develop more. There is no doubt that she is aware of how fabulous she is. The question is; will that personality shine in the show ring? At the DKK International Show in Aalborg it did! Only 9 months and 2 weeks old she made her debut in the junior class and won it. This qualifies her for Crufts 2010. In the competition for best bitch Belgian judge Norman Deschuymere placed her as number 4. And since the 3 girls in front her were Danish Champions the CC went to Trille.
Trille has the ability to stay calm even when her handler is stressed......

Ferbruary 14th 2009 This Saturday was just another day at the office for Fergie. For the 4th time in a row she was BOB with CACIB. Trille also made a positive impression and was consequently Puppy BOB. It was Lene Jakobsen who found our 2 girls irresistable.
Ivan had made the long trip from Sweden with his Mummy to visit his family and to debut in a Danish show ring. He has turned into a really handsome fellow and it was very nice to see him again. It was especially nice to see how well groomed and well behaved he is. Thank you very much Jannike for taken such good care of him. And thank you for coming down and showing him. It was a pleasure to watch you both in the ring. Ivan was 3rd best male out of a bunch of very fine males. His critique was excellent and we look very much forward to following his show career.

Czech Out The News |

February 7th 2009 On the first day of the Duo CACIB Show in Brno organized by the Kennel Club of the Czech Republic Fergie did it again! Even with fierce competiotion she was Best of Breed with CC and CACIB. This also ensured her qualification for Cruft's 2010. It was Hungarian judge Tamas Jakkal who found her irresistable. Tomorrow Fergie has another chance of strutting her stuf. Czech out the news here!
February 8th 2009 On the second day of the Duo CACIB show in Brno Fergie did it once more. She was BOB with CC and CACIB. It was the local judge Nada Klirova who found Fergie worthy of such glory. This is the third show in a row that Fergie leaves as BOB with CACIB. Not bad, eh! Later that day she was arrested by the local police charged with public cuteness. However she was soon after released after paying the bail with lots and lots of kisses. It would seem that this kind of criminal cuteness runs in the family. As the pictures testify Fergie's father Timmy was arrested on the same charge in Gothenburg in 2007.

Drama And Success In Sweden |
|
|

|
January 3rd 2009 On the very first Sturday of the new year in an acy cold yet crystal clear and sunny Gothenburg Fergie paid her first ever visit to Sweden to strut her stuff at the MyDog show. The day started with a bit of drama during the measuring. When measure was placed on her shoulders there were several centimeters from the measure to the table. The Dutch judge Rony Doedijns thought that she was probably about 34cm at the shoulders. After a few moments of panic with the handler on the brink of coma the ring steward discovered that the measure used was designed for another breed; the Chihuahua! There was a sigh of relief when the correct measure for Toy Poodles were placed on Fergie shoulders, this time with centimeters to spare. So now there is no longer any doubt - Fergie is a Toy Poodle. But for a few frantic moments there was several bistanders wondering how she could have possibly grown 10cm overnight. It was as if this rather odd experience melted away any nervousness and Fergie could do what she does best; strut her stuff! In the judge's eye she was the prettiest of the bitches and he presented her with the CC. With that the the title Swedish Champion was secured. The final CC for the Danísh as well as the Swedish Championship were both presented by Dutch jugdes. We would like to extend our warmest greetings to all Dutch judges. In the final competition Fergie came in second after a very stylish male from Kennel Steadline. The very same male came in second to Fergie in Ballerup so now he is vindicated on his home turf. Congratulations to Steadline.
January 4th 2009 The second day of the MyDog show was the International show. Without any of the drama of the day before Fergie made her entrance in the ring. The Swedish judge Eva Vallinger was very taken with Fergie, who according to Eva Vallinger possessed qulities that she had not seen in a Toy Poodle for years. Consequently she presented the CACIB to Fergie and made her Best of Breed. A quite handsome guy from Kennel Sporrens was BOS with his final CC for the title Swedish Champion. Congratulations to Yvonne and Sporrens. The chances for the group competitions were carefully considered against the chances of catching an earlier ferry back to Denmark. The Ferry won. |

Obscene Amount Of Titles In Stuttgart |

November 8th and 9th 2008 During the weekend of November 8th & 9th the German Kennel Club VDH hosted an International a National Show. One of the German Poodle Clubs co-hosted the affair. Our girls Liza and My represented Denmark in the best possible way and took home an obscene amount of titles. At the International show on Saturday My was BOS. She got her last CACIB and left the ring as International Champion and Baden-Würtenberg Winner '08. Liza was best Junior and Baden-Würtenberg Junior Winner '08. The National show on Sunday turned out to be equally successful. My got the last CC's for the titles German Champion VDH and German Club Champion VDP. She was BOB and Stuttgart Winner '08. Once more Liza was best junior; as a matter of fact she has never been shown as a junior without being the best! With the CC's she got she can now call herself German Junior Champion VDH, German Junior Champion VDP and Stuttgart Winner '08. The kind judges were Axel Rudolph and Andrea Ernst. It's funny how driving home from a show seems a lot easier when the car is loaded with titles!
Apart from all the titles a very special honour was bestowed upon My as she, as the only Poodle, was invited to a professional studio by 2 German designers taking pictures of beautiful dogs for a new book. We have since then received copies of the fantastic pictures, which have been selected for the book. Before the book is published we cannot reveal the title or show the pictures. We will get back to this when the book is launched.

August 31st 2008 Driving for hours through the German night one couldn't help thinking of the first lines of Goethe's 'Erlkönig' - "Wer reitet so spät durch Nacht und Wind?" We'll tell you who; Liza, Fergie and My, and in spite of the long trip they arrived all bright eyed and bushy tailed to show themselves off at the 44th DPK Sigerschau in Frankfurt. Being in her native Germany Liza was quite in her element - so much so that judge Yvonne Schöne awarded her the final CC to claim the title of DPK Junior Champion. My also found grace under the judge's eye and at the end of the day she could add a few CC's to her collection. To not only our own surprise the judge found a more beautiful girl than Fergie. Luckily Fergie is not one to hold a grudge. Instead she is thrilled with the results of Liza and My.

A Hot Weekend In Neumünster |

May 31st 2008 International Show On a very hot and sunny early summer weekend Siegfried Peter made My BOB at the International show on Saturday. With several CC's and a CACIB under her belt she was ready for the Honour Ring, where she was part of the judges finel selecton of 7 dogs. Siegfried Peter was thrilled to see Liza in the ring and in no time she was Junior BOB. In many ways Liza is still a puppy but she showed the world she definitely has what it takes to become a dazzling showpoodle. Just wait and see! June 1st 2008 DPK Club Show Sunday was just as hot as Staurday but despite that pur girls did well for themselves. Their team was reinforced with Fergie who won the Intermediate Class. Liza was Junior BOB. My had to hand over the top of the podium to her lovely relatives from Kennel Tirkane.

2 Titles In Luxembourg |

March 30th 2008
At the international show organized by Union Cynologique Saint Hubert Luxembourg our girls were successful again. Swedish judge Mr Kenneth Edh awarded Fergie the junior CC and she is now a proud Luxemburg Junior Champion. My, whe took the same title in her tender youth, was presented with the CC in the Champion Class. Now she is a 'grown-up' Luxemburg Champion. Other Danish poodles had a good day; Alfie's son Chili was BOS with the dwarf poodles. Belgian jugde Mr Jean-Francois Vanaken found Chili worthy of the CC and the CACIB so now Chili is also Luxemburg Champion. Congratulations to Pia and Chili. All three poodles are qualified for Cruft's 2009! |

March 23rd 2008 Fergie did it again! She took her second CC in only 2 weeks. Now she has to wait patiently until she is old enough to take the final CC to claim the title Danish Champion. However this does not mean that she will not go for more CC's in the months ahead. Liza also did well for herself. She was Best Puppy! And her beautiful deep brown colour was much admired especially by the judge Pam Carpenter from Australia

Poodle Club Show in Korsoer |

March 2nd 2008 For the first time in 12 years a Toy progeny group was shown at a danish show. Out of all his lovely children Tirkane Father Time chose to bring DKCH, SECH Sugarpine's Lille My, Lykkehuset's Madame Castafiore and Lykkehuset's Desperate Housewife. It was a proud moment for two and four-legged fathers! Here is a few quotes from Mr Vanaken's critique: "Congratulation to the father to produce a very good type with homogenity. All of them have many qualities to offer to the breed. This Male must be proud to present today daughters in an ideal toy type with elegant refined heads."
Prior to showing the progeny group all 3 girls had their 15 minutes of fame in the ring - with very satisfying results: Sugarpine's Lille My BOS, Club CC, Excellent Lykkehuset's Madame Castafiore 1. Open class Excellent Lykkehuset's Desperate Housewife 1. Junior class, CC, Excellent
According to Mr Vanaken the progeny group was Excellent! We could not have done without the invaluable help from 2 expert handlers. Thanks to Pia Petersen and Charlotte Linneberg. It was a great day for Timmy! Besides being proud of his daughters he was also very proud of his grandson Sugarpine's Party Joker (son of our Alfie) who after an endless stream of CC's was finally old enough to take the the title. And he took it! Besides being best of Breed he was presented with the CC and he is now Danish Champion! Congratulations to Pia and Chili!
At the same show Kennel Sugarpine gives a trophee each year to the best toy bitch. It was very touching for 'My' to be presented with this trophee from her birth home.
